Wynne/Jackson has successfully operated a 1,000 slip marina in the Houston area for over 24 years. We have observed the stability of this type of real estate asset and after a year of research, Wynne/Jackson has determined that there is a significant opportunity to acquire existing marinas in the United States. The marina industry is still highly fragmented in ownership yet offers substantial current cash flow returns, increased cash flow through improved management and expansion of existing facilities and upside gains from the development and/or sale of adjacent ‘upland’ property. The aggregation of a significant portfolio also affords numerous exit strategies that will create additional value. The marina industry has positive supply/demand dynamics since there are strong positive trends in the demand for new boats coupled with a diminishing supply of slips due to high constraints with regard to the permitting of new slips.

To facilitate this program, Wynne/Jackson has assembled a team of highly experienced individuals from the marina industry to join with our experienced team of financial professionals and asset managers to create the Wynne/Jackson Marina Fund in order to acquire and own a diversified portfolio of marinas in the U.S.
